Level 80 will certainly help us progress from where we are...75 really helped get us through anguish and 80 should put us into demi and beyond.
BTW, I know some will bitch about the level increase, but, for once, I agree with rashere on this. Since they're going to a 1 yr expansion cycle it was either raise the cap now, or wait another entire year (current cap increases have been about 1.5yrs). If we found ourselves still stuck in CoA this time next year, we would be pulling our hair out (as would many other guilds stuck on current content). |

/agree with Culd - I'm looking forward to seeing bugs fixed and expansions coming out at a slower rate. While it does make me think /sigh about catching alts up - it will be fun and exciting to level Ard up more.
Have Fun!

uhh, that's just dumb on sony's part raising lvl cap to 80. I have enough trouble as is with focus effects because of tss, this will just make it even worse. Would need like tss raid gear focus effects to be worth having at lvl 80 and i don't see us doing tss raids anytime soon. _________________ Wendaen Sul`delDraug

Right now, we're planning to do a level increase once a year with each new expansion.
We're well aware of the controversy over foci effects and looking into ways we can alleviate some of the sting with the shortened time between 75 and 80.

You see that part where they plan on increasing lvl cap every expansion? They will have to do some major changes to focus effect to keep up with the lvl increases. _________________ Wendaen Sul`delDraug

I think they need another type of aug slot or "energy source" that is solely for focus effects. One that is obtainable at the group level, but that offers higher versions at the raid level.
Just a thought (and you'll like it, or I'll send clowns with cheese to your house). |

Bumping up level cap once a year is gonna play havoc with focii. I really hope they know what they're doing in terms of a solution. From PoP to TSS was a total of 4 years, with 1 level cap increase every 2 years. Increasing the level cap every expansion without a buffer expansion inbetween will be interesting... _________________ X <-------my signature |

they should just start releasing items with focus effects up to level 90 or 100 or something.. we will catch up in level before some of the gear (especially augs) become outdated _________________ And you can't fight the tears that ain't coming
