Ok im not gonna act like i know all and know whats going on behind scenes here but personally i think the raid selection can do better. First of all, the UF "raid" of group content. Think 3 weeks is enough of this. Its group content for a reason. Yes the upgraded gear is nice and new spells is good too, maybe a few more items than in a raid night im not sure since I havent been able to make a raid for one of these yet BUT raid equip that we can get is still better for the most part than the group gear and with 2 targets a night average 3 drops per thats 6 raid items and rk3 spells to boot. Just my opinion on these but hey if they upgrades have been worth more than raid drops would be keep doing it i just dont c it sorry.
Next is our targets were doing. We done bb and queen A LOT lately and havent tried kith since...november?? Crystal core i havent done although it was said it was tried once or twice thats not enough. Fos we only tried a couple times also and with all these upgrades and good turnouts there is no reason we cant knock all these out. Now i dont known which raids you need to beat to unlock the Rk3 spells from Zeb not sure if there tower or the lower tiers i have no idea and cant really find out ive looked a couple times.
We beat a kora raid granted its probably not the hardest but its still a kora raid why cant we get these other ones done. Fail one night try again the next night while event is still fresh and can adapte and hopefully have a lot of the same people so we on the same page. Nothing to me is more gratifying than taking down new targets/events in all the years ive played on eq. Who remembers fear when it was a place u could lose enough xp to not even be able to get back in and lose all that work? But when you win its like we just owned that $h&t. Ring of Vulak anyone? Nother fun raid that not a lot of people did but after a couple hours of slaying all those dragons it was uber loots and crazy fun event.
Just my opinions here and yeh its a bit of a rant but we already stopped SoF raids and i wanted to badly to do crystallos just because it looks hard and nothing better than taking down a tough event for the first time and putin it to farm _________________ You kick Venomous Projection for 58652 points of damage.

You should probably go on one to see for yourself. I was there last night, and it was more loot than we've had on any raid night. I think we plan to continue, but just for Wednesday night. The other 3 nights will be SoD raids.
Here are some examples, from last night.
2-3 spell drops. We had 2 wrist, 1 hat and 1 chest clay.
we already stopped SoF raids and i wanted to badly to do crystallos
Again, read the post.
People want to accomplish everything in the game all at once, but there is limited time in life. We don't have the ability to do SoF, SoD, and UF content all at once.
I have no problem myself with the current targets but I figured my question could fit in this thread:
Is there any plan to start doing raids on Monday or Tuesday or Sunday? Maybe more of an organized optional set of raids for those that happen to be around? Nothing to screw up the timers for the scheduled raids, but I'm sure there is some sort of target we could do. _________________
yes i read the post on updated targets part the reason why i posted. i know were not doing SoF i just really wanted to do crystallos but i know the loot isnt worth it now still dont change the fact i wanna beat sleeper hehe. and the other kora raids i know were going to try soon i meant the other raids i mentioned ie fos crystal core kith. i think we pretty much got bb and queen down pat to where we could try those instead of bb and queen.
Now that is a pretty nice night of loot for sure but kind of depends on name rate too. Maybe its just me but raiding group content seems weird i dunno either way i just really wanna try these other raids we havent done or tried in a while more so than anything _________________ You kick Venomous Projection for 58652 points of damage.

As do I, but we are going to take it a bit slow.
Because we are not all Crystallos raid geared, we are underpowered for SoD raid content. In order to get us the gear we need, we are using UF group content and some SoD raid content.
As time goes on, we will spend more and more time on SoD raids, hopefully winning them and not just wiping to see what is involved.
We hit Queen/BB a lot, but a big part of that is the gear is still useful and everyone still needs rank 3 spell drops. It's the easiest way to get those spells.
But as soon as we can add some raids to our agenda that get done, and into farm mode, we can move to those. But our hope is to try 1 new raid each week, not all of them!
Just imagine that this is 1 year ago today, and SoD raiding is new and fresh. We have a long way to go, and there are 20+ different SoD raids to do this year.
Furthermore, we will, by necessity, be doing less BB/Queen due to our involvement with CoL now. As they will often be running those raids, it means we will most likely try to do raids that they don't have done that week.
I would like to see us hitting ome uf raid instances soon
That's rather unlikely. UF raids are for people who completed all of SoD. They didn't toss in a couple easy ones like BB/Queen raids. It's all very difficult.

Folks, we're moving ahead, slowly but surely.
Now, Wed in UF, Thus with farm targets, Friday with Pallorax (which we've tried/beaten twice), and Sat revamped RR (which we haven't beaten) sounds to me to be a fair schedule.
Remember, we need to gear up to even do the other Korafax raids, much less get into tower.
UF is impossible atm. Fu and RoV are being challenged learning the early raids there.
Keep the faith folks, but going too fast simply hurts morale and hurts attendance.

This is not meant for just Sendalor, but for ALL AH folks that can read it.
If you'd like to try your hand at leading a raid, you're more than welcome to. Research the event, form a strat, and contact a SL/Officer. You'll be invited to the leadership channel, one of us will shuffle, another can do taskadds. The ONLY thing you'll have to do is lead, which means learn on the fly, type like a madman, adapt to what happens, etc.
If you'd like to try, by all means, contact one of us. We LOVE to spread the headache around...
I'm not being sarcastic folks, it's a PITA to lead. That said, you wouldn't believe the rush you get after a successful raid.

And just to add to this -
1. Pick a date certain, a Saturday would be best, and tell or PM EvC.
2. Make sure you or somebody you know for sure will be there can trigger the raid.
3. You'll be in charge of strats and leading. The rest of us will handle all the other work (raid window, expedition window, loot, heal channels, rebuff team, etc. etc.)

I have to say that leading and beating Brinda (and doing the passwords for that event) was definately "a rush" for me.

just my 2 cp
We may want to scrap the RR raid and try Crystal core instead. They are now about the same difficulty I think.
just a rangers 2 cents. _________________ 85 Ranger|85 Shaman

I think we need to go back to some events we have tried in the past and failed. Fos1, FoS3, and the Kith event are the ones that come to my mind.
It has been asked in the Rallos poll thread why we should go back and do those. I imagine those who may have completed those missions with their guild or other means are the ones who would not want to go back and do it again. But for those of us who raid exclusively with AH, the reason to go back is pure and simple, revenge. I for one, and I am sure there are others, am not satisifed with trying something a few times and then just giving up because it was "too hard". We have geared up and have more active raiders now, so we have a reasonable chance of winning. We don't necessarily have to put them on farm mode, but win them a few times to erase the bitter taste of defeat and celebrate with our friends and comrades that we have come back and kicked ass.
And I agree with you too Elric... lets not go too fast. I understand that many want to cut straight to Kora/Tower as fast as possible. Others want to slow down and do some of the things that we have tried and failed on before. For revenge and to prove to ourselves that we can do it, as well as possibly learn something in the process. _________________ EQ Players | Magelo
