|
|
Hello,
Does anyone have experience in the raids required to get the Epic augments for your 2.0? It is all in Demi-plane of Blood. It is all very complicated and looks like it will be quite a long adventure for anyone involved and it needs to be done all at once, no save game feature here
If no one has any experience in running a Demi-plane raid (or, just doesn't want to) I guess I can try to organize this. I don't think a single good group of 85s could handle this, hard to say. 2 full groups should be fine though, with enough CC
Any interest? _________________

As for loots, for high levels none of it is useful I would imagine, except there are 5 mini bosses which drop some nice augs. This mob has the whole loot table of augs that drop:

The Redfang bug should be fixed now.
http://forums.station.sony.com/eq/posts/list.m?topic_id=160848
Back in late 2007/early 2008, when my guild was doing this, we would sometimes spend 2+ hours on trash clear + ZiT + Sisters, leaving us time for 1 attempt at Hatchet or Redfang before the night was done. As a casual guild that only raids 2 nights a week, 3.5 hours per night, DPoB proved to be impossible and we had to eventually skip over it.
1. ZiT fight, due to random spawn issue, can take an hour to finish.
2. Sisters event requires people who have the hotkeys all made and are familiar with the script to beat it, no matter what level you are. And the event will take another 30-60 minutes.
3. Hatchet is an event full of audio triggers and following them accurately.
4. Redfang is simply a pain.
It really takes some time and commitment to learning that zone. There are a lot of scripted parts to do. It's not simple tank/heal/dps the mob. And you have to clear all of Tier 1 (4 events + aug minis) in order to reach Tier 2 (which is where the 2.5 drops are).
Even just a few months ago, people were still complaining about how long it takes. http://forums.station.sony.com/eq/posts/list.m?topic_id=158295 |

AH actually tried to do Demi raids while I was actively raiding.
The thing about Demi is that it is extremely, and I do mean extremely, long. There is tons of trash. The boss events in it are either long or gimmicky as well and you can't skip anything.
Don't get me wrong, I encourage you to get a group together to go if you can find the people. You're looking at dedicating a couple raid nights to the zone though so just be aware. |

I remember demi, and from what I remember I would rather do a Plane of Sky raid back in 2000 instead of going back through all of demi.
Of course it should be alot easier now with the fire power most have. Of course who uses their 2.0 anymore will all the phat weapons that have been droping in the last 2 expansions?
Well except to swap them in for the clicky then back out again, but that does not count.
If I had the time I would go with you, but as of late time is my greatest enemy! _________________ 85 Ranger|85 Shaman

If you want to get some interest in DPoB going, the augs that drop there are the best way to do it. Most non-tanks wouldn't mind having some of these to go in Type 8 raid armor.

Examples-
HP: 110 MANA: 110 END: 110
Shielding: 4%
or
HP: 190 MANA: 165 END: 165 |

Necromancers do, the focus on a necro epic hasn't been replaced with anything. The 1.5 adds 4% to dot crits, 2.0= 8% and 2.5= 10%, so it actually is worthwile to some classes to have it. _________________ |

I for one like to check out zones that I haven't been to or been able to conquer. That being said, I would be interested in giving this a shot. _________________ |

Can I get a list of in game char names that are interested to do this? Both your higher level (to get it done more easily) and if you have an alt you want to get the epic items?

Tumic was HATING himself today so he thought he'd longingly look at the Demiplane of Blood raid information to see if this would ever be possible without ruining everyone's lives and all things FOREVER.
Found this webpage guide though and it seems pretty handy-dandy.
