Hi all,

Still fighting with alienware - latest is they have agreed that they will provide me a new system. Sent note via attorney that we will configure it and send them the specs - they respond with - oh go to OUR site and configure it. We respond - BITE ME. We're configuring it ourselves and using the specs we want - we'll see where it goes from here.

My question friends - some months ago, EQIM was discontinued. Around that time this Dx9c thing came up and someone put up a really nice reference link to download the patch thingie and so on and so forth for those who got the nasty message when trying to load into the game.

Where'd that message go? Got folks trying to get back into EQ who are getting the message about d3dx9_30.dll was not found.

If anyone can help me out here - I would appreciate it a lot. And please - keep your fingers crossed that I finally get some satisfaction out of my fight with Alienware. I WANT MY EQ BACK. *stomps feet and throws a tantrum* I'll never see 75 if I can't play!

If you're getting a new machine (which it sounds like you are), odds are that DirectX 9c will come preloaded on it. I think computer manufacturers nowadays are including the most recent DirectX on their machines. If it doesn't, just do a search for "directx 9.0c" and click on one of the links that directs you to a microsoft webpage. Then download and enjoy Smile

Thanks Ghraa - that's what I needed - Uoin had to wipe his HD and needs the link to get back on track.

As for my situation - I have the specs for a top of the line system and if Alienware won't build it, then they'll have to pay and I'll have it built for me and be back, bad and nationwide.
