Should there be google ads here? And should they be inticing us to buy EQ & EQ2 plat? I don't remember the old boards having google ads.

Ads suck, but I've not heard if there's really anything we can do about them or not Sad

Yeah it's a mirror for now. Our other site did have adds though, they were just a bit more unobtrusive.

The adds don't really bother me...not like they are x-rated or anything.

The ads are there and give us a bit better rate on hosting because of it. I agreed to it also because we are getting alot of freebies in conjunction with our moving the site.

It is alot of work to copy and clean up and make a website work (especially one this size) when moving one and I am sure many of you know that.

If the adds are seriously bothering people, there is a solution.

Not sure if you all know this but this web page is pretty much maintained out-of-pocket by Korinne. Since the adds give us a better rate, the are most likely going to stay.

Unless people want us to set up pay-pal donations and are willing to donate enough to cover costs. If you want us to do that drop me or Kor a line, and depending on the response we can set it up or not.

Korinne, even with the discounts, I recommend setting up a paypal module just the same.

You can set up your account so that people can donate with credit cards. Paypal takes a small cut for that option but it works great for convenience.

Thanks to our generous members in Mystic Crusaders, we have been fully supported on our web costs.

People do want to help, let them.

Yea I would like to get back to our ahraiding.org with out any cost. Kazpin has offered and I am certain I can get us web hosting for free. Our volume of traffic is low, so not a problem getting a free piggy back on the existing business account I have.

The hosting move is a done deal guys....Dbyx has already put alot of effort into getting it moved. If the ads are that huge of a deal, I will have them removed...Personally I don't see what the problem is....but that's neither here nor there. As far as ahraiding.org .....I am not sure why people still thing its gone....it isn't. We just haven't gotten the company that registered the domain for us in the first place to point the domain to the new location. Kinda like the post office not registering your forwarding address.....it takes time sometimes. Be patient and it will all work out.

I will talk to Dbyx and ask him about removing the ads.

The ads aren't a huge deal; just remember that if the site ever has to move again or whatever (heaven forbid), that there are folks who'd be willing to help with the hosting/fee payments/donations to remove ads/etc.

I do appreciate that and I will keep that in mind....I am not (obviously) made of money but I really didn't want to go and put my hand out asking for money. Dbyx isn't really charging us much and this site is absolutely HUGE and we do (/cheer) have alot of traffic. I will work on the other wierd things that have happened to the site recently with him and Kaz if we can all three ever actually be online at the same time.
