2 hours patching only to get "timeout error"

well I was galloping thru Sunderock looking for the spell vendor when I got "you have been disconnected" every try since then has encountered the timeout.

Your lucky. I logged in to discover I had 65 AA (after 2 refunded abilities) to spend and a red text message that told me I must spend any over 30 NOW or I would lose them upon zoning. Well I tried to spend em and TSS was NOT listed on my AA list even though I have the expansion and even claimed my reward. While wondering whats going on I get booted and now 3 hours later I still can't log back in.

Game gives me 65 AA's, tells me I'm gonna lose em if I zone and then boots me. Grrrrr.

whats the claim item? and i assume you have to buy the box again to get the claim item? is there a box avialble? rumor around here is that there is no box Sad

From what I understand, TSS is download only. The claim item is a sceptre that'll port you to the new city, Crescent Reach. Cast time is 15 seconds and it takes a little over an hour to refresh. You get the claim item if you preordered the expansion.

The same thing happened to me. I downloaded twice then while in the game I got the timeout error. I tried changing my firewall, I tried rebooting, and I tried reconfiguring my DSL modem. I finally truned off the computer in frustration and came back a couple of hours later. When I turned on the computer everything worked fine, I was able to log into EQ. But I no longer get the message telling me I may claim the reward! I have already petitioned....

The same thing happened to me Ghraa, the TSS AA's were not showing up on my UI. I tried relogging, doing a complete file scan etc but nothing was working. The problem was caused by my custom UI. The patcher was updating the EQ UI AA window, but only in the default UI, not my custom one. The fix for me was to delete the file EQUI_AlternateAdvancement.xml in the custom UI folder.

I like my UI, and didn't want to go back to the default UI. So this was the fix for me while still using the custom UI.
