He said he cannot reimburse because no one /reported the loot list.
I told him to look up a petition by Wwein and he said there was none.
So he said in the future either /report it, or loot it. He can't give it back cause he doesn't know what was in the chest.
I was trying to tell him that more than 50 people could vouch for the loot but he wouldn't go for it. So next time this happens someone should loot all the stuff then get it transfered.
Oh here it is:
Hello Cung, Senior SOE GM Deodan here, thanks so much for your patience as we work through our petition queue.
Cung, thanks for speaking to me in-game and giving me additional information. Unfortunately there are no logs or /reports to indicate the existence of the bauble from this raid (though I don't disbelieve you). Please know GMs can only give loot if there's a log of a player looting the item, or a /report of the loot-list from a chest. Please pass that information along.
If you need any further assistance with any other concern, please feel free to send a /petition in-game or offline via the link:
I had a similar response from the GM that emailed me, the /report function logs the last 10 lines of a window (including loot). If anyone happened to do that then PST, though it's so random that I think chances are slim. I replied back to my GM pressing the possibility he may be facing 53 petitions to this if it isn't resolved quickly, so we'll have to see what happens. For bugs in the future though, we'll be using the /report function!
We just completed the raid Bloody Kithicor in a raid with our organization After Hours. We won the raid, killed the named, and spawned the chest. Immediately as this happened a failed message popped up and we were told there was 60 seconds before we were kicked from the event, and we were unable to distribute loot in time. We had the raid purchase the loot anyways, so that we could petition to have the items restored to the rightful winners. The loot should be as follows:
Ironscar: Bloodwood Bow
Puvdarr: Ring of the Chosen One
Cung: Bauble of Hatred
Madoxx: Humming Fleshwrought Rune
Lorendahl: Humming Fleshwrought Rune
Many thanks,
Wwein of After Hours

This is Game Master Gretskull here. I understand that your group was unable to loot a chest before being booted from the raid instance. Upon investigating this issue for you I was unable to find a /report of the linked items and rolls. Due to lack of evidence we will be unable to reimburse any items that may or may not have been in the chest. Thank you for your patience and understanding regarding this matter. If you should face any other issues in the future then please feel free and contact us again.
Farewell and good luck
Sincerely,

Just to clarify it was a raid not a group, and as such we have 53 witnesses of the bug. We all received lockouts for successfully completing the event, but suffered the bug in the form of a fail message and less than a minute to handle loot. Most of us have logs of that night, and I can ask around to see if anyone has any screenshots of the chest & loot if that would help prove our case. You've already received petitions from myself and the 5 members who were unable to get their loot due to the bug, but I'll be happy to have the other 48 raiders petition the problem too if it would help validate our claim.
The full list of raiders that night were:
Aergon Aleax Biledorfa Cantinal Coltz Cung
Didokova Doktorr Elaari Elrico Elricvonclief Famka
Fanlayen Gregolins Harr Hasseo Iffenx Ilumia
Ironscar Kelv Kindaaniel Kopen Laenyani Ldidarjr
Lifesource Lorendahl Madoxx Megurine Oolah Porkchop
Purest Puvdarr Puvia Rashelf Savaraine Siouxe
Skyling Sneekums Sorcier Summ Taneles Tarmin
Thrombo Tiladinya Totlc Uadianiel Ursi Vahlaura
Voyager Winvarenai Worlace Wwein Ybolla

I doubt they're going to refund loot unfortunately, sorry you five!
It doesn't take much commend sense to figure out that if 53 people have the lockout, 53 people left the zone 60 seconds after the win (and btw it didn't seem like 60 seconds to me, more like 30), and not one of them looted anything in that time, that we're probably telling the truth!
You should tell the GM to expect a reported loot list from every raid we do (what, 2 raids a night for four nights + classic raids ~= 10 raids a week) from every raider ~40 just in case something goes wrong. For a total of 400 useless reports a week.
Unless I misunderstand things, can't someone just fake a loot list and report that anyway? Just figure out what loot we need from an encounter, get the linked items in a text line, say "oh look what is in the chest $BLAH" and then /report it. I'm saying this because the proof that they want seems as invalid and vulnerable to chicanery as what we are trying to do.
I understand the frustration but doing that would be dishonest. It sucks that we didn't get the reward for finally beating a massively eff'd up event but that seems to be the way things are gonna end up. At least we know that if this happens again we all need to /report first THEN petition.
FYI, I wasn't suggesting the faking loot list thing as an option, I'm just saying that a /report is no more valid than anything else. It's not a secured data object for them to check, it's still basically a chat line, created by players.
Asking for it seems like an excuse to not get involved.
actually /report works on the server side and only reports the last ten lines of the window it was typed into. It cannot be faked afaik and one of the reasons why they want it.
Right, but think about what it is reporting on the server-side ... isn't it just the raid looter saying what's on mob via a chat-line? Maybe I'm a n00bas but is there some sort of message showing the loot that cannot be faked (just like a /random die roll cannot be faked via a player chat or emote).
This really has no point, I'm just bored and feel bad for those that lost out.
not how it works.. the messages generated on SERVER side of the equation are whats being reported. Anything generated on your side would be worthless..
The best way (if this happens again) is to have the raid leader loot the entire chest, and then send in the explanation of what happened and details of who should get which piece of loot.
That way they can take the item from the RL and transfer it to the correct person.
But if nothing was looted, they can't tell what was in the chest without a ton of evidence to back it up.
This is GM Kiraena in response to your Raid Bug inquiry. Unfortunately we are unable to accept screenshots as valid evidence due to the fact they are easily manipulated and as such we are unable to grant the loot that was not looted from the raid chest. If you have any further issues like this in the future please /report the chat and we will research the matter accordingly. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter and if you have any further questions or comments please feel free to contact us again.
Sincerely,
