We have made a few changes that will take immediate effect!
Summary
1. The 0.1dkp on time bonus (aka OTB) has been removed.
2. The 5dkp on time bonus lottery (aka OTB Lottery) has been changed from 5dkp to 5tiers, useable on that night only.
3. Loot will now start at 3dkp and not 5dkp as it used it.
Explained
1. Previously OTB gave no tiers, it was just 0.1dkp which is not very much. We realized we either needed to bolster it, or remove it. After deciding to improve the usefulness of the lottery, we decided we could drop the OTB.
2. 5dkp is useless to the majority of the raid force, while 5 tiers are very important. There are a small group of people that do care more for dkp than tier however, the apps and very new members. Thankfully the third change will help those people a lot!
3. The loot system is centered around tiers and for many people dkp is worthless (as they have it in large supply). By making the maximum loot cost 40% less we make it more attainable for everyone. Finally, it makes handling the loot a lot faster.
Ultimately then, there is more of a reason to turn up on time for raids and loot is easier to get for new members. Let us all rejoice!
I've editted everywhere on the site I can find that mentions OTB, OTB Lottery and starting loot at 5dkp. If anyone finds any trace of the old (now defunct) rules, please let me know!
