Heyas,

I just wanted to take a second with you guys and let you know that rl has come up and I probably will not be able to do any raiding with AH for several months. I've been looking for work since I graduated earlier this summer. While I haven't had any luck with finding a permanent position, I finally decided that I would keep searching but in the meantime do some work locally.

So, I am going to do some factory work. Unfortunatly my shift is not going to permit me to raid...it's late second shift and is going to pretty much be right on top of our normal raiding time.

I'm hoping that eventually I will find something better where I will be able to raid again, but my experience with factory work is they load so much overtime on you that all you have time to do is eat, work and sleep. By doing that in addition to job hunting I just don't see how I will have time for more then just casual EQ playing.

Anyways, I am sorry this happened but as I am sure you all know I have to put RL before EQ. This job will help me build some money to set me up when I finally find something related to my degree, and it's just something I feel like I have to do for myself to keep busy in the meantime. I wish you all well, and maybe I will get lucky and land a job soon that will allow me to raid again.

Sad Very Happy Sad Very Happy Sad Very Happy

RL should always be put first in your life even though sometimes the EQ fantasy world is more fun. Thanks for all your great leadership and we will be awaiting the times you can continue to join us either as a player or raid leader.
Later,
Zanman

Hehe, East Asian Studies major here. That was a major asset coming out of college. NOT. Rolling Eyes

Amazingly enough I did manage to get a job in Japan, but much like Sareen it was in IT...

I would rather die then go to grad school. Literally. I would commit suicide before going again I hated school so much. It took me 6 years to get out with the normal degree that I have. No way in hell I am going back.

I'll find something eventually...it's just a matter of time. Even if it is working at Walmart I prefer that to more schooling right now.

With your degree you could prolly be assistant night manager at walmart and make the big bucks (IE - $6/hr as compared to $5.50/hr).

P.S. - RL is overrated, come back to EQ:-)

Well, there's sort of good news. I am getting switched to first shift either this upcoming week or the week after. So, this should make it possible for me to raid I think. It may be a bit dicey with how late we raid, but anyways I am going to try it. Not like I have to be awake for factory work anyhow.
