PoK will not be there until PoP is unlocked. However, the books will be scattered throughout norrath, they just wont do anything (i would assume). The bazaar also won't show up until luclin is unlocked. I don't know if /buyer mode will work prior to DoN or not.

Some zones like the Hole will not be there on initial release. I suspect the Hold, PoSky, PoHate, PoFear will be like a mini expansion unlock. Maybe something like once Naggy and Vox are killed, those zones open up, then once Inny, CT, and sky boss are killed, kunark opens. That's just my guess, i have nothing to back it up. It is my understanding that CT, Hate, Splitpaw, etc will be reverted back to their original form until their time comes for revamp.

I suspect SOE's kinda playing it by ear and flying by the sear of their pants on this as it's something that hasn't been done before and no one really knows how well (or if) it'll work out.

They've got a discussion board set up (http://eqforums.station.sony.com/eq/board?board.id=Progression) and someone's set up a seperate community forum (http://www.combineserver.com/) so those who don't have a current subscription can also join in on the discussions.

what i wanted to know about how they unlock is.. will it unlock per character, per acount, or across the whole server. i dont really care about what the individual quest will be but if one guild goes there and unlocks the entire thing instead of enjoying it for what it is and then it becomes unlocked for everyone i wont be happy. i hope they do it like flagging on characters. altho then when you unlock a new expansion you still wont be able to use the new race/ class. so i guess unlocking per account wouldnt be that bad. i havent seen anything on this at all yet..

After reading this thread, only visions of the old days when bards ran around with dual Yak's in lambent armor popped into my head. Personally, only fun the old world had over what we have now is that you used to be able to solo the WFP guards as a teenage shadowknight and get exp and faction. Now them sob's don't like to die as easily and the faction means squat...

This really sounds like a great idea. The biggest reason I rarely play on alts is that they're so inadequately geared. Think of it though.....Starting a new character and being AVERAGE while you're NAKED!!

Just a suggestion for Wend to make things more interesting: everyone should try to keep their same names, but have their character be a different class Laughing

I might make a new character on that server. There are 2 classes I have been wanting to try out, but I can't promise how much of my time will be devoted to it since I play Auto Assault with a few personal friends (which may not last too much longer if the population doesn't pick up).

I'll go ahead and eat crow and say I'll either make a gnome necro or a whatever ranger. This could be fun if there are tons of people playing on the server and it's not like pulling teeth to form groups.

From the overwhelming responses I have read on several boards, you will have no problem finding a group.
