So is there any interest in doing this on an off night? I know we have a few ready for the final fight, and I'd like to get it done for them. Kind of a fun event if you have never done it. |

I can not only trigger the ring war but I've also got the kit and orders for the Shawl crawl!
Sounds like fun! And by the way Sulsil is an excellent War Leader having lead the event successfully several times.
Have Fun!

I'm game (can even bring the cleric if we're low on healers if needed). |

Okay, I have this scheduled for Sunday. It is unofficial, but I put it in the Time and Place so everyone knows.
I know we have several people who are ready for this event. The fairest way I can think of deciding on who gets to trigger it (and thus gets the final ring), is just to /random amongst those who are ready and present. I'm not sure if we can chain the event or not.
I hope to see everyone there. It's been awhile since I have done this one, so should be fun. |

is it MQ'able in any fashion? I have the 8th ring on cleric and most of 9 done, but if I could MQ to Endi somehow, that'd be great. _________________

Not that I'm aware of Velious was the first set after Kunark when the epics were "broken" due to MQ. So the designers worked hard to avoid em.
Additionally this was "The Big Event" for Velious and was a showcase. I am told by a source I trust that the event had the Magic Resists on the 3 rd wave increased in the Pop era to avoid some trivialization at that time. It's an awesome event and I expect we will win it pretty easy but still a blast.
The Protection of the Dain scroll makes this event still useful even today.

ok I figured out the MQ, just need to have whoever you want to get 10th ring loot the giants head at the end and MQ the 9th ring/head turn in _________________

Thanks guys for everyone who showed up and got this finished. Hopefully we can do the same for others who may need. We've been thinking of some ideas, like shrouding down, that might make it a bit more challenging. |
