Double exp weekend

In honor of Independence Day and the opening of the Mayong (51/50) Server, EverQuest adventurers will be surrounded by a magical experience increase from around 11:00 a.m. PDT on Thursday, July 2nd until around 9:00 a.m. PDT on Monday, July 6th. Those nasty mobs will be worth an extra 51% experience points (on all servers!) through the holiday weekend. Happy adventuring!

lol... last double exp weekend I told my fiance "So, there's going to be bonus experience this weekend, and I'm probably going to be online pretty much all day" His response "And how is that different from any other day?"

I told my wife there was a double exp bonus this weekend and she said "Oh cool, lets lock the doors and play all weekend!".

Gah, I envy all of you whom have wives that endure the EQ hobby and support your need to play. I wish my GF was more like that. Instead, she bitches and complains when I want just a few hours to play.

I love my GF, but sometimes I just wanna....#@*$(@

The times I can't play, all she wants to do is go watch a movie or TV together. Half the time it is something that does not even interest me at all. Therefore, I get bored...

She gets lonely way too easily. When I am playing EQ, she is either reading a book, browsing myspace or youtube, or bugging the crap outta me. I try to explain to her that when I'm playing EQ, especially on raid nights, I can't turn and give my undivided attention to her and do what I need to do in the raid at the same time. She gets annoyed and pissy saying that I'm ignoring her.

I swear...I just can't win.../sigh

Ok, enough of my rant, lol.

Ok heres some tips maybe for you guys with non eq wives. There have been times when I wasnt playing eq and Ww was, and it is hard. You all know that eq becomes your mistress. She takes often every spare moment. Wives need intamacy. And have you ever thought when everyone is asleep is the time we may relax enough to want to have sex and there you are on EQ.
Ww and I have set aside 2 nights a week to do other stuff and it works well. One night we have game night with family and play card games for 5 or 6 hrs. ITs great fun. The 2nd night is our night we either go out to eat and a movie or even often order in and eat in bed with a ppv.
My point is even wives need to be wooed sometimes. So give her at least a few hours a week where she is the most important project to you at that moment. It will make for a happier marriage. Then she can spend the week planning that night while your on eq. Wink

anyway, double xp is badass since it stack with lesson too..

jeje i think we all have the same problem...

My GF Idea was------> buy a laptop, make a table for put laptop over bed and play EQ as long as share with her the bed.

Yeah laptops are great for EQ! playing in bed with your partner is fun, but so is lazing in the bath doing tradeskills.

I used to D&D (dice and paper) and would MUD when time and the computer lab at school permitted, so when Sorc and I got together EQ was a natural step. From my desk, I can reach over and smack...err...hug him.
