These merges are scheduled to occur between June 22nd and July 6th, 2010.
I'm still not sure when exactly our server will merge, so we may have some raid night cancelled depending on how this plays out.
Our server will be Bristlebane - The Tribunal. I'm hoping we get to keep the current file extension code so everyone here on BB won't have to change (but Tribunal will).
The list of Tholuxe Paelis, Sol Ro, Brell Serillis, Tarew Marr, Xev, Morrell-Thule, Torvonnilous, Veeshan, Vazaelle, Mordan Rasp, Terrus-Thule, Rodcet Nife, Mithaniel Marr, Innoruuk, Karana, Lanys T'Vyl, Ayonae Ro, E'ci, Zebuxoruk will all be gone soon. All those players will have nothing but a seldom seen suffix tag to display.
The following servers will be down and undergoing the announced server merges on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 beginning at 12:01 am (U.S. PDT). The maintenance is expected to take 12 hours: Stromm, Drinal, Xegony, The Tribunal, Fennin Ro, Saryrn, The Seventh Hammer, Prexus, Quellious, Erollisi Marr, Luclin, Maelin Starpyre, Druzzil Ro, Bristlebane, Cazic-Thule, Bertoxxulous, Tunare, The Rathe, Povar, and The Nameless.
Additionally, Zek, Firiona Vie, Antonius Bayle, Mayong will also be undergoing maintenance on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 beginning at 12:01 am (U.S. PDT) for a brief game update to address zone stability issues. Expected downtime for these for servers is 2 hours.
U.S. PDT is -7 GMT: 1:01 am MDT, 2:01 am CDT, 3:01 am EDT, 7:01 am GMT, 8:01 am CET. Please check your favorite time zone converter for accurate downtimes for your area.
The EQPlayers website will also be unavailable during the downtime for the server merges.
All my characters kept name except a level 2 mule. So he got a quick name change last night. The old name was just one of the random generated ones anyway.
Years ago someone complained that my name was offensive and SoE threatened to change it for me if I didn't give them an alternative ( the combination of the two names was the issue, it seems ). I logged off Ybolla and didn't log her on for @ 3 weeks. I must have gotten lost in the shuffle 'cuz I never heard another word about it.
