Forming groups for Epic 2.5s

Ya know, I wouldn't mind giving it another shot these days to see how much we have improved over all. However, I must say the mechanics behind these events are downright mean and nasty and so I wont hold my breath. It's not that they hit hard or anything. Personally I could tank the boss mobs in these events now so they must be gimp. It's the complexity that always screwed us in the past.

I was the Raid Leader for my guild when we were working through Demi-Plane of Blood about a year ago. We are a family guild so we only raided 2 to 3 nights a week.. We could never get past the Tier 1 events unfortunately. Would be nice to at least see the Tier 2 and 3 events once or twice.

I would not mind helping with this. The sisters were ALWAYS buggy for us but the mini's do drop some nice augs for casters.

I have created a package of triggers for people that are interested in an Demiplane of Blood expedition.

Aleax or other brainy folk, does the site have any upload space for me to put this file so others can download it? It is a 900KB archive.

This archive includes:
more detailed Demiplane maps
audio files for the audio triggers for Hatchet the Torturer and Tris Wallos III
An AT_DPOB_<yournamehere>_bristle.ini file with all the trigger patterns
An Instructions file

Once enough participants have applied these triggers, I believe I'm ready to try to lead Tier 1 events in DPoB.

There IS a way to upload files however I try to refrain from doing so. Tetra is kind enough to host our website for us free of charge so I do my best to maintain a small footprint. What I would rather see is a link to download them from some file sharing site instead. Lots of free ones out there and it just makes sense to use them. If you don't know how to do this, you can email them to me and I will host the files on the elven society website and link em here.

Please go to: http://www.mediafire.com/file/6176g2f0cc3htib/DPOB%20Resources.zip to download the "DPOB Resources" archive. Right-click save-as will not work for that url, have to go there directly. Sorry!

"Extract All" from this archive to somewhere easily accessible, like to your desktop. Open the folder created.

Copy the DPOB folder to your Audio Triggers folders. The Audio Triggers folder should be in your EQ folder. This will probably be the location below, but might be different based on your own machine.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Sony\EverQuest\AudioTriggers

Rename the AT_DPOB_Tumic_bristle.ini file to match your character's name (Unless you ARE Tumic! Rk.III!!!) Then, copy this file into your userdata folder. The userdata folder should be in your EQ folder. This will probably be the location below, but might be different based on your own machine.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Sony\EverQuest\userdata

Copy the map files to your maps folder. It should be in your EQ folder. This will probably be the location below, but might be different based on your own machine. It is ok to overwrite the 4 files that are already in your maps folder, unless you have maps different than mapfiend
C:\Program Files (x86)\Sony\EverQuest\maps

The end result of this is you will have a DPOB drop down in the upper right hand corner of your Audio Triggers dialogue. You can choose to run this set of triggers when we attempt DPOB expeditions.

Rydan 85 wiz would like to help on this

2 things not mentioned:
1. 2.5 epic does NOT always drop. It is just part of the loot table as random. (my experience was more often not).
2. classes split up on the 4 events (as wizzy, I'd have to beat Tris Wallow for pure caster epic 2.5 drop)

farthest I got in with guild was beating Devlin (nice guy, he drops 2.5) and Tris Wallow (never saw 2.5), did not beat Roley or Performer, let alone Mayong (thogh I have the bane weapon still, lol.. would love to complete it)

I have been through this event several times as the guild I was with over 2 years ago used to farm this set of events for the augs and armor. We never went any further than Tris so I have no experience with the Performer or Mayong.

All that aside, I would be interested in getting a shot at my 2.5.
