We will be running a new event this year in honor of the summer olympics. Details are below. All times are estimates...

Event Overview
The general way this will work is that there will be several contests. Each will have a first, second, and third place winner each of whom gets a prize and either 3, 2, or 1 points depending on how they place. Then at the end all points will be totaled for the overall winners. In the case of a tie both parties will get identical prizes.
There will also be 1 dkp awarded to all players for participation for the evening.
NO BOXING WILL BE ALLOWED ON ANY EVENTS

Grand Prizes
1st: 30,000 platinum and 5 dkp
2nd: 20,000 platinum and 3 dkp
3rd: 10,000 platinum and 1 dkp

Individual Event Prizes
1st: 5,000 platinum and 1 dkp
2nd: 3,000 platinum and 1 dkp
3rd: 1,000 platinum and 1 dkp

Event 1: Scavenger Hunting
Time: At 8 pm pst the list of items will be given out. Players will be given until 8:15 to ask questions and write down the list. At 8:15 the event begins. All items must be turned into the coordinator by 9:45. No late turnins will be accepted.
Latecomers allowed?: Yes, but they start at an automatic disadvantage since they will not have the full thirty minutes.
Event details: This will work much like the EQ anniversary event quests. I will give you a list of "riddles" each which has a specific item as an example. You will need to return as many items from the list as you can. Sometimes one riddle may have multiple accepted answers. For example, if the riddle was, "a box without hinges, key or lid, yet inside golden treasure is hid" the answer would be egg and any type of egg would be accepted.

Event 2: Arena Brawl
Time: This event will begin precisely at 9 pst. It ends when only one player is left standing or at 10 pm, whichever comes first.
Latecomers allowed?: Not on this event.
Event details: It's pretty simple, you will be pitted in an arena against all particpating players. Last man standing wins first, next to last second, etc. If you leave the arena for any reason you will be disqualified.

Event 3: Everquest Trivia
Time: 10:15 pm
Latecomers allowed?: Yes.
Event details: I will ask a question in raidsay and whoever answers correctly first will win 1 pt. You are only allowed one answer per question. Whoever has the most points wins first place, and so on. This event will last approximately 30-45 minutes depending on the number of questions.

Event 5: The Great Race
Time: 11 pm pst
Latecomers allowed?: Yes
Event details: This race will begin in Qeynos. You will have to run through Qeynos Hills, both Karanas, Highpass, Kithikor, and it will end in Freeport. To disable any porting all characters participating will be required to be shrouded. If I catch you teleporting with any kind of bot you will be disqualified.
This was the most incredibly fun event we have had in forever and a day! Fantastic job Shie, my hats off to you for all the work you did in preparing and judging the events
