Just wanted to fyi guys. Ww and I live near dallas, ft worth and we have projected severe storms all day and night. Sometimes during weather like this we loose electricity and or cable. If we are not on by 20 min til raid time we probably wont be able to get on. Have fun without us.

Techincally texas never joined the union. It still has its own constitution although the state goverment is constantly bending over for the fedral goverment

Thats not exactly true Laenyani. Though that is one of the things thrown around. The truth of the matter is Texas forced the mexican commander to sign a treaty under duress. Mexico, given that it was done under duress, refused to ratify the treaty. So you see, Texas never really was independant from Mexico like they say. They just wanted it to be that way. Then a few years later, they were purchased from mexico by the US to end the war that ensued and made part of the union.
