Poll regarding what YOU think we should focus on next!

Hello everyone,

I hope you all have enjoyed this extended break from raiding.
We held off announcing an official return to raiding to see what kind of turnouts we would have.

Unfortunately we have only beaten 1 raid target this week (Pallorax hard)

Due to poor attendance, we were forced to cancel raids immediately following the on time bonus (OTB) both Thursday & Friday nights.

It certainly appears that the return to raiding / end of the 2-week break did not seem to have been noteworthy to many of the regular AH raiders this week.

In an effort to determine what will entice our members to return to their relatively regular AH raid attendance,
and for AH to have enough of a regular showing to continue to remain relevant as a higher end raiding coalition,
we have come up with a poll that will let you voice your opinion on what we should be raiding.

Please choose from the list of options and vote carefully.

Once the results are in, or if they are overwhelmingly skewed towards 1 option, the leadership will discuss your votes
then make changes to our raid schedule reflecting the desire of the majority.

Everything will be taken into consideration and your votes and opinions DO COUNT in this forum.

Once you vote, I encourage you to also POST additional suggestions for future goals for AH.

Afterhours is ONLY as strong as the members who show up on any given night.
We have an incredibly diverse membership from guilds across the server.
We attract some of the BEST players in the game to raid with us.
The leadership works extremely HARD, on our own time, to keep things moving along.

I EXPECT that everyone who wishes to continue raiding with AH will place their vote AND post other suggestions on what our immediate and long term future goals should be.

AH has provided so many with the opportunity to raid on events that would never otherwise be seen by non-raiding guilds,
to learn and grow their characters with input from highly skilled class leaders,
to level up, to get better gear, and to gain valuable leadership experience.

Most of all, AH is comprised (primarily) of the best group of people in Everquest.

To continue in this tradition, we MUST grow and adapt as the game changes.

RIGHT NOW is one of those times, so PLEASE DO NOT PUT OFF VOTING AND POSTING!!!

I am sure tower still give some nice upgrades for a lot of people, after Tower or at the same time UF tier 1, maybe after a few months HoT tier 1 raids will be the way to go.

I dont know if what I say matters. I dont even know if I am welcome in ah lately and I am not going to be verry active for a bit may only go on 1 or 2 Raids a week if I go at all. I do hope I can go.

as for the poll a combo of finishing Tower and doing some HOT is what I would like to see Mabe mostly tower at first then slowly get into HOT

If I get the cold sholder I will just up and Quit AH all together and mabe even EQ
I have not played much but every time I log in I end up in tell hell reminding me of what I have lost or ignored cold sholder Mad

Lets concentrate on completing the Tower then moving on to the UF Raids.

well,i cast my vote for tower. iwouldn't mind uf raids, but want to finish tower even moreso.

i would like to see the end of tower but it makes me sad that only 19 votes have been posted and that is prob the 19 that have showed up every night hehe when there is 63 toons in ah channel lfg /rolls eyes

if people don't want to do to tower the officers CANT MAKE them either log on or if logged on come to the raid. after all once your full member you DON'T HAVE to attend every single raid.

I voted for tower, would like to see peeps get their title. Once I get rid of these Tower lockouts maybe I can join a raid again.

Of course, it's a raiding Tumic is it not? HoT Progression would be Tumic Rk.I!!! It makes perfect sense!!! The use of multiple exclamation marks is a sure sign of madness!!! Don't you think???

This is quite off-topic, and in the case of what I wrote, I purely meant my "!" to express emphasis and enthusiasm in an attempt to garner some of that aforementioned enthusiasm (as yet to be seen) from people other than our raiding regulars.

So, Darby, what is your opinion? did you vote?

Moving forward is imperative, and a direction should be determined.
If in the immediate future, the AH membership decides to finish tower first, I certainly hope that those who did NOT vote for that would still show up to raid and contribute.

Until we are prepared to take on the endgame targets, AH will not be able to move forward. Sometimes taking small steps towards loftier goals (like raiding HoT targets) is the ONLY way to make progress.

Without mandatory attendance rules, we will never be able to conquer those goals as quickly as the raiding guilds.
Once all of our members get some upgraded gear from raids, progression, etc, AH will be in a much better position to take on the tougher content.

For right now, raid attendance is the problem.
With only 20 or so individuals in the raid when the on time bonus (OTB) is called, it is impossible for the leadership to pick decent raid targets for the night.

For AH to continue and thrive, and I know it will pick back up again eventually, we need more people to show up on a regular basis to do things they sometimes might not like to do, but things that will benefit the organization as a whole.
That is the main reason for this poll: to determine what the majority of AH members want to do for the time being, and to get more people interested in showing up for raids on a more frequent / regular basis.

In time we will be ready to take on the top level raid targets, but until then we need to do something that will help us all to get to that point.

I voted to finish Tower.

Yes the group HoT T4 visible armor is >1400 hp/mana/end (depending on class) but the T3 Tower gear has higher Focus values and AC.

I've been away from raids to grind out level 90 and get a few more AAs. Most others are likely following a similar path. Tower will be alot more fun, and take less effort with an average raid level >88. We should be able to farm the snot out of Tower and begin to raid UF.
