There's been a long standing debate for literally Years on the merits of raiding group content. On one side these are in zones built for group-sized bunches and can be killed by (very) strong groups. On the other side the drops are plentiful and have the latest focii, mods and stats. With the advent of SoF and Cryst these styles of raids had more merit, especially with the painfully slow progressions of Demi and TSS, made worse by the difficulty spike of skipping to Solt. So with the launch of SoD and seeing the phenominal links being thrown around, we took the plunge and started rading SoD group content.
It was a success.
Between 5-15 loots per night including new spells, high class gravy and huge upgrades. Casters in particular finally saw their rewards for spending far too long equiping the focii from old expansions. Though tanks and melee are starting to find a reprieve with loot being a cut above some of the old raid loots too.
